Last Updated: 28 August 2026
Welcome to InfoZambia.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the InfoZambia website, mobile application, directory, community platform, events, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
By accessing or using InfoZambia, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

- A national business directory
- Member community features
- Paid business memberships

- Advertising and sponsorship opportunities
InfoZambia operates to connect and empower Zambia’s SME ecosystem.

- Have legal capacity to enter into agreements
- Provide accurate registration information
- Use the Platform in compliance with Zambian law
Businesses registering must have authority to represent the entity listed.
3 User Accounts
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining confidentiality of login credentials
- All activity under your account
- Ensuring your profile and listing information is accurate
InfoZambia reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Provide false information
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in abusive, fraudulent, or harmful conduct
4 Membership & Payments
InfoZambia offers both free and paid memberships, including business and individual tiers.
4.1 Subscription Fees
- Paid memberships are supplied for an annual term unless otherwise stated before purchase.
- Fees are displayed in ZMW, and the total amount payable is shown before an order is placed.
4.2 Automatic Renewal and Expiry
Paid memberships automatically renew for successive annual terms unless the member gives InfoZambia notice of cancellation at least 30 days before the current annual term expires.
InfoZambia will send a renewal reminder before the 30-day cancellation deadline using the contact details held for the account. The reminder will state the renewal date, the plan and the renewal price. Members are responsible for keeping their contact details current.
If timely cancellation notice is received, paid access continues until the current term expires and the membership does not renew. If notice is received less than 30 days before expiry, cancellation will ordinarily take effect at the end of the renewed annual term, subject to applicable cooling-off and other statutory rights.
There is no grace period. If cleared renewal payment has not been confirmed by the renewal date, paid benefits are suspended and the membership or business profile returns to the applicable free level until payment is confirmed. The account, public listing and stored information may be retained, while features unavailable on the free level may be hidden.
4.3 Cancellation and Cooling-Off Period
- An unpaid or On-hold invoice may be cancelled without charge.
- A consumer who purchases a paid membership online may cancel it within seven days after the agreement is concluded, without giving a reason or incurring a penalty.
- If payment has already been made, an eligible cooling-off cancellation receives a full refund within 30 days after cancellation.
- After the cooling-off period, cancellation is governed by the notice and renewal rules in section 4.2. A change of mind does not normally qualify for a pro-rata refund.
4.4 Other Refunds
InfoZambia will provide a refund or another remedy where required by applicable law. This may include duplicate payments, failure to activate the purchased plan, a service that InfoZambia cannot supply, or a service that is materially different from what was offered. Where practical and acceptable, InfoZambia may first correct or perform the service again to a reasonable standard.
If InfoZambia ends a paid membership without fault by the member, InfoZambia will provide a fair pro-rata refund for the unused part of the term. Approved refunds will be returned through the original payment method where practical.
Nothing in these Terms limits a consumer’s rights under applicable Zambian law.
4.5 Upgrades and Downgrades
- Paid upgrades take effect after cleared payment is confirmed.
- Downgrades normally take effect at the end of the current paid term.
InfoZambia reserves the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice given before the applicable 30-day cancellation deadline.
5 Business Listings
By submitting or claiming a business listing, the business confirms that the information is accurate and lawful, that the person submitting it is authorised to represent the business, and that the business has the rights needed for any logos, images and descriptions supplied.
The business authorises InfoZambia to publish, reproduce, organise, verify, promote and make available its public, non-personal business information to members, sponsors, partners and other users for directory, business discovery, verification, market intelligence, networking, referral and promotional purposes. InfoZambia may supplement listing information from official and publicly accessible registers.
This permission does not extend to private account information or personal data that is not intentionally published as business contact information. Personal data, including information relating to sole traders and individual contacts, is handled under the Privacy Policy and any notice shown when it is collected.
InfoZambia may format, review, correct, re-categorise or update listing information, including business name, description, contact details, address, category, operational status and verified business facts. We may remove or suspend information that is misleading, unlawful, inappropriate or the subject of a substantiated complaint. InfoZambia does not guarantee leads, traffic, rankings or business outcomes.
6 Community Conduct
Users must not:
- Post false, misleading, or defamatory content
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Post spam, scams, or unauthorized advertisements
- Upload malicious code or attempt to hack the Platform
- Misuse messaging tools for unsolicited bulk outreach
InfoZambia reserves the right to remove content and suspend accounts without notice where necessary.
7 Reviews & User Content
Users may submit reviews and comments.
By posting content, you:
- Confirm it reflects genuine experience
- Grant InfoZambia rights to display and use it
- Accept that InfoZambia may moderate or remove content
We do not guarantee accuracy of user-generated content.
8 Events
InfoZambia may host or jointly deliver online and in-person events. The event page or registration notice will identify relevant organisers, sponsors and partners and explain whether registration data is shared for administration, attendance management or optional follow-up.
Necessary event administration may include registration, tickets, essential event communications, check-in, attendee support and venue security. Optional sponsor marketing, attendee directories, badge scanning or similar disclosure will be clearly explained and will use a separate choice where required.
If a sponsor is added after registration, prior registrant information will not be disclosed to that sponsor without a fresh, named choice from the registrant.
Online ticket purchases may be cancelled during any cooling-off period required by applicable law. After that period, tickets are normally non-refundable unless the event is cancelled, InfoZambia cannot provide the purchased service, or a refund is otherwise required by law. If an event is postponed or materially changed, InfoZambia will explain available transfer or refund options. Tickets may not be resold without written consent.
Attendees must behave professionally and respect venue and event rules. InfoZambia may remove a person for serious or disruptive misconduct. Venue, speaker, schedule or format changes may be made where reasonably necessary.
9 InfoZambia Academy & Online Courses
- Course access is granted for individual use only.
- Course materials may not be redistributed or copied.
- Completion does not constitute professional accreditation unless explicitly stated.
Additional course content providers may have specific terms. These will be displayed when signing up.
10 Advertising & Sponsorship
Advertisers and sponsors must provide lawful and accurate material, avoid misleading claims, comply with applicable advertising and consumer-protection requirements and follow the Acceptable Use Policy. InfoZambia may reject or remove material at its discretion. Placement does not constitute endorsement.
Sponsorship does not grant general access to InfoZambia’s member database. A sponsor receives personal data only where the individual has requested contact, consented to disclosure or another lawful basis and controller arrangement has been clearly explained. Campaign services, aggregated reporting and non-personal business intelligence may be supplied under a separate sponsor agreement.

- Disputes between users
Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user in the preceding 12 months.
16 Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if:
- These Terms are violated
- Fraudulent or harmful activity is detected
- Required by law
Users may cancel a paid membership as described in section 4 and may terminate their account at any time through the available account or support process. Termination does not remove any refund or other right provided by applicable law.
17 Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, security, technology or our services. We will publish the revised date and provide reasonable notice of material changes. Ordinary changes may apply to continued use where lawful, but a Terms update does not retrospectively create consent to disclose personal data to a sponsor or for a materially different purpose.
18 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia.
Any disputes shall be resolved in Zambian courts.
