1. Introduction
This policy explains how InfoZambia uses cookies and similar technologies on https://infozambia.com. It should be read with the Privacy Policy.
Essential cookies operate where necessary for security, login and core site functions. Analytics and any other non-essential cookies are used in accordance with the choices presented to you and applicable law. Continued browsing by itself is not treated as consent where an affirmative choice is required.
2. Current cookie categories
Essential cookies
WordPress, UsersWP and InfoZambia security and account functions use cookies to authenticate users, maintain sessions, remember essential settings, prevent fraud and protect the Platform. These cookies are necessary for requested services. Session cookies expire when the browser session ends; persistent authentication or preference cookies may last longer according to the choice made and the security settings applied.
Analytics cookies
InfoZambia currently uses Google Analytics to understand page visits, device and browser types, general location and interactions. Google Analytics commonly uses _ga and related _ga_* cookies to distinguish usage over time. These cookies may remain for up to two years, subject to our configuration and your choice. Analytics is not necessary for login or core site operation.
Functional or embedded-service storage
Features requested by a user may need settings or storage to remember choices or operate an embedded service. The relevant provider and purpose should be identified where such a feature is introduced.
Marketing and advertising cookies
InfoZambia does not treat Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn or another advertising provider as active merely because it may be used in a future campaign. If advertising, conversion or remarketing cookies are introduced, the provider, purpose, information, duration and choice will be added to this policy and the preference control before use where consent is required.
3. Third parties and identifiers
Third-party providers process cookie or device information under their own privacy terms and our applicable contracts. InfoZambia will not deliberately pass a member’s email address, account identifier or recognisable personal token to an analytics or advertising provider unless that transfer has been properly disclosed and has a valid legal basis, including consent where required.
4. Managing preferences
You can use the Platform’s cookie preference control, where displayed, to accept or reject non-essential categories and revisit your choice. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login or other requested features from working.
Withdrawing consent stops future non-essential use; it does not undo processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Existing cookies may need to be deleted through the preference tool or browser.
5. Retention
Cookie duration is set according to purpose. Session cookies normally end when the browser closes. Persistent cookies expire after their configured period or when deleted. We review durations and remove cookies that are no longer needed.
6. Changes and contact
We will update this policy and the preference control when material providers or purposes change. Questions may be sent to privacy@infozambia.com.
