Current guidance for accounts, business listings, ownership, profile plans, reviewed content and the InfoZambia community.

Getting started

What is InfoZambia?

InfoZambia combines a Zambian business directory with community, opportunities, events and learning. You can browse businesses publicly and create an account when you want to take part or manage a listing.

How do I create and activate an account?

Use Join InfoZambia to register. We will send an activation email to the address you provide. It can take a few minutes to arrive, so check your spam or junk folder before requesting support.

Do I need an account to search for a business?

No. You can browse and search the directory without signing in. An account is needed to add or manage a business and to use member features.

How do I contact a business?

Open its public profile and use the contact methods the business has supplied, such as phone, email, website, WhatsApp or directions.

Adding and managing businesses

How do I add my business?

Open Add your business, choose the appropriate business activity, complete the factual information and submit the listing. InfoZambia may review it before it appears publicly.

Where do I manage my businesses?

Sign in and open My businesses. The dashboard shows listings attached to your account and provides the correct editing actions for each one.

Why is my listing pending?

New listings and some updates are reviewed for accuracy, appropriate categorisation and safety. Pending means the submission is still being checked; it does not mean it has been rejected.

Can every owner edit the business facts?

Yes. Owners can maintain factual information such as contact, location, registration, operational and opportunity details on Free, Standard and Premium listings. Administrative controls remain restricted to InfoZambia.

Can I manage more than one business?

Yes. Businesses that you own or are authorised to manage can appear together in My businesses.

What if I cannot see a business I should manage?

Do not create a duplicate. Contact support with the business name, its profile link and information showing your connection to it so the ownership can be checked.

How do I report incorrect or suspicious information?

Use the Contact page and include the business name, profile link and a clear explanation. Choose the relevant enquiry type so the request reaches the right queue.

Business plans and Enhanced Profiles

What is included with Start?

Start provides a discoverable directory presence and lets an authorised owner maintain the essential facts about the business.

What are Growth and Elite?

They are the next profile levels for businesses that want richer promotional content and additional benefits. Essential business facts remain editable on every tier.

What is the Enhanced Business Profile editor?

Standard and Premium owners use it for reviewed promotional fields such as Services offered and Additional information. Changes are submitted to InfoZambia and do not replace the public version until approved.

Why can I not open another business in the Enhanced Profile editor?

The editor only shows eligible Standard or Premium businesses owned by the signed-in account. It does not expose another owner’s business or its draft content.

Why do enhanced-profile changes need review?

Review helps keep customer-facing promotional content useful, consistent and appropriate while allowing ordinary factual updates to remain straightforward.

Can I upgrade online now?

Standard and Premium are being prepared for wider self-service availability. If no checkout or upgrade option appears, your account is working normally; contact support if you want to discuss the available route.

What happens if a Premium listing is downgraded?

The listing returns to Start rather than disappearing. Paid profile sections stop displaying, while the core business facts and listing can be maintained.

Community, opportunities and learning

What is the InfoZambia Community?

It is a space for business owners, professionals and entrepreneurs to connect, ask questions, share useful updates and discover relevant conversations.

Where do I find opportunities and events?

Use Opportunities for collaboration and connection requests, and Events for upcoming ways to meet and learn. Both are available from the main navigation.

What is the Academy?

The Academy is the learning area of the community, bringing together courses and practical development resources.

Can I promote my business in the community?

Relevant promotion may be shared in the appropriate spaces when it is useful and respectful. Repetitive, misleading or unsolicited promotion may be removed.

Verification and support

Is verification the same as paying for a plan?

No. Verification relates to checks on business identity or information. It is separate from paid visibility or promotional benefits.

What may be needed for verification or ownership checks?

InfoZambia may request registration, contact or ownership information appropriate to the situation. Only send documents through the support route requested by the team.

How do I contact support?

Use the Contact page and choose the enquiry type that best matches your request. Include screenshots and page links when they will help explain the issue.

How quickly will support reply?

Response times depend on the request, but providing the correct account email, business name, page link and supporting detail helps the team respond more efficiently.
