  • Kafue National Park, an illustrious gem of Zambia, nestles in the heart of the country. With an expansive area of about 22,400 square kilometres, it stands as Zambia's largest national park and one of the largest game parks in Africa. Its vastness envelopes a rich diversity of wildlife, which makes it an integral part of Zambia's natural heritage. Conveniently situated just west of Lusaka, it offers a truly immersive and accessible safari experience for both local and international visitors. Kafue National Park is well known for having some of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. It boasts a wide variety of wild animals, including almost 500 species of birds, 45 types of mammals and numerous reptiles. Among them are such remarkable species as the oribi, Lichtenstein's hartebeest, roan antelope, eland, kudu and sable antelope. In addition, the park also provides a safe haven for several endangered species like cheetah, wild dog and giraffe.
