  • Professional Insurance Corporation Zambia PLC is the largest General Insurance Company on the Zambian Market. The Corporation opened its doors to the general public on 9th July 1992 with only two offices, one in Ndola and the other in Lusaka. The Corporation has grown over the years with an extensive branch network and several partnerships throughout the country. The year 2022 was a special year for the Corporation as we celebrated 30 years of existence. The Corporation has continued to distinguish itself on the Zambian Insurance Market for the past 30 years of its existence owing to a strong and vibrant team of professionals with the highest competences at the core of the Company’s operations. With these key competences, the company has been able to prudently offer various risk solutions in the short term Insurance space culminating into the Company crossing the K1 billion mark with respect to Gross Written Premiums in the Financial Year ended 2021. This and many other achievements have been supported by a world class team of reinsurers which include Swiss Re, GIC South Africa, SCOR and other regional groups, namely Africa Re, Zep Re, Tan Re and Zambia Re for Reinsurance arrangements. The Company has also shown its Underwriting prowess by writing all classes of general insurance business that includes Fire, Accident, Motor, Engineering, Marine, Aviation and Incidental Risks. The opening of a flagship self-service Branch at Manda Hill shopping Mall in Lusaka has added to our distribution network and placed power in the hands of our dear Customers to access Insurance with ease. Our speedy settlement of claims remains the cornerstone and the basis upon which we retain the confidence and trust of our Customers. This has allowed us to maintain our A+ Credit Rating, by the Global Credit Rating Company for the twelfth year running. We believe our partnerships with professional brokers and other strategic partnerships add value and shall continue to harness these relationships based on mutual respect and professionalism.
