The French School of Lusaka was established in 1980 on the initiative of French families living in Zambia and in conjunction with the French Embassy in Lusaka.

In September 2005, the new school year began in new premises located on the plot for the Alliance française campus in Longacres, Lusaka. This location has created a Francophone cultural and education centre in Lusaka.

Educational Structure

The school has an enrollment of 119 children for this current academic year 2014-2015 who follows the French educational system. It provides education from nursery to primary school.

The teaching program for the secondary/high school is provided by the “Centre National d’Enseignement à Distance” (CNED – National Center for an Education at a Distance), followed up on a daily basis by qualified educational tutors.
